Paco started documenting his dunk journey with no professional camera and no plan, after a stranger in a vintage Vince Carter jersey told him to start an Instagram account. One video took off — and he's since built his platform around a message aimed at Hong Kong's dunking community: the real limiter is mindset, not genetics or height.
Paco began training to dunk almost two years ago. A conversation at the gym with a man wearing a vintage Vince Carter jersey — now a close friend — led to the advice that started everything: document the journey, make an Instagram account. He didn't have good equipment or a strategy. He just started posting. One video eventually took off.
His content is built around a specific message: in Hong Kong, a lot of people don't believe they can dunk, not because they haven't trained hard, but because of a limiting mindset around genetics, height, and what other people think is possible. He had that mindset himself as a kid, and his content is aimed at the next generation — and people his own age — still deciding whether that belief is even worth challenging.
He's currently an affiliate for a brand he calls Nining, and is working on organizing a local dunk event in Hong Kong built around a city tour of iconic local spots, meant to bring dunk culture closer to the community rather than a single ticketed venue.
