Charles Chase

Personal trainer and business coach, San Antonio, TX

Featured Guest

Charles built a personal training and online coaching business from the ground up — with zero certifications for his first two years, and still hit a $6,000 month. Today, personal training alone puts him well over $10,000 a month — six figures a year. An active hooper with a season of semi-pro basketball at 21, he grew up in a multicultural home in San Antonio that shaped how he sees opportunity.

Charles's path to coaching wasn't direct — a trucking business with his father, a partnership, and a COVID-era venture all came first, and none of them worked out. What stayed constant through all of it was the gym: training in his garage and a nearby park when everything else was shut down. When the world reopened, people noticed his transformation and started asking how he'd done it — and that became a real coaching business, one he built without a single certification for his first two years, still hitting a $6,000 month.

His first exposure to entrepreneurship came from his father, a self-employed hustler he watched build his own business from as early as age eight. By ten, Charles was running his own operation — buying bulk Mexican candy and reselling it at school until administrators shut him down. He grew up in a three-bedroom trailer with thirteen family members, in a home split between Black and Mexican heritage — something he's said he grew up uncomfortable with before coming to see it as an advantage. He remains an active basketball player, with a season of semi-pro ball at 21 behind him.

Who you hang around, who you get advice from — that's going to be a big determining factor in who you are and what you're going to become.
You need to speak on it as if it's already done. Not "I want this" — it's already done. So you've got to move like that, talk like that.
